We offer specialized fitness training based on the principles of strength and movement that we use with all of our physical therapy clients.

Who are these classes for?
 • Individuals transitioning from formal PT intervention to independent exercise who want the motivation of working in a group setting and who want to continue bolstering their knowledge of strength and movement
 • Individuals who are looking for sound, sensible, scientifically-based exercise that will enable greater participation in LIFE
 • Athletes who are wanting to learn how to improve coordination, strength, and body awareness to prevent injuries and improve their game

Our Goals:
• The prime goal of the classes is to educate the participant
• Every individual that participates will improve their understanding of how their body works, knowledge of the physical skills they are able to safely perform and how these skills can be applied to “real-life” situations away from exercise class
• Intentionally small class sizes to ensure detailed supervision
• Homer Physical Therapy Fitness will provide the same high quality instruction for which Homer Physical Therapy is known

Pilates / Mat Science

A non-impact class that fine-tunes commonly performed fitness class exercises that are universally used for improving strength and flexibility to bring more attention to form, execution and purpose. A compilation of exercises performed on the floor on a mat in a variety of positions that are derived from classic disciplines such as yoga, as well as sports and rehab conditioning and dance.
